More painting and started the hair planes. Ive never actually done hair on a character so I have no idea how many planes I need and what the density should be.
Aaaaaaand this is where I’m leaving this tonight.

Quick polypaint. I think I’m going to photo-source the actual texture, but this was a fun exercise.

Some more progress on this thing.
Not really a fan of how I stylized the proportions so I think I’m going to try to push stuff around a bit more, and the cloth is very WIP right now. I haven’t done a lot of cloth sculpting in general and I’m finding that I really struggle with making believable folds. Hands were sculpted in a closed position because the fingers arent really needed for what I’m doing + its less stuff to rig.
kinda wish i hadnt deleted my other account/ kinda glad i did. weh.
1 of several background props for a larger scene. Topology is v garbage because i was in a rush but it won’t be deforming at all in the end so its no big deal. I def have to clean it up for the final image, maybe introduce some more color variation.
Once again this is diffuse only, everything is handpainted, and the end model is approx 1100 tris.
Total time: ~4 hours, including sculpt, retopo, unwrap and texture.
Day 1 of a stylized character. Body is roughed out and will probably appear in a later post.
